This past April, our Executive Director, Dr. Jacques Sebisaho and Program and Operations Director, Raniah travelled to Oxford, England during the Skoll World Forum on Entrepreneurship to meet with like-minded practitioners from across the globe. The Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship “seeks to accelerate entrepreneurial solutions to the world’s most pressing problems by uniting social entrepreneurs with essential partners in a collaborative pursuit of learning, leverage, and large-scale social change. An invitation only event, Forum delegates represent more than 80 countries and participate in a range of interactive events to openly share, collaborate, innovate, and, ultimately, advance social entrepreneurship” (Skoll.org).

During our time in Oxford we were able to meet with peer organizations, funders, and partners and attend many side events related to the current state of the world and those engaged in social good. To witness social entrepreneurship programs on such a massive scale is really an inspiring experience. The entire city of Oxford was full of individuals devoted to shaping their communities in a more positive way.

The Skoll Forum on Social Entrepreneurship takes place annually in Oxford, England. Find more information at www.skoll.org.
